Project notes
What the archive shows.
A bedroom addition, built from the ground up.
Ben poured a new block foundation and framed the addition off the back of the house, then sheathed it in ZIP panels and closed it in.
The addition ties into the roofline and siding, so it reads as part of the original house instead of a bolt-on.
A full exterior to match.
Ben resided the whole house in a two-tone scheme, charcoal on the main house and a lighter gray on the addition.
He put on a new shingle roof, ran all new soffit and fascia, and boxed and wrapped every window. New 5-inch gutters handle the water, and a composite wrap covers the front porch beam so there is no bare wood to paint.
