A 16 by 20 deck off the back.
Ben built this deck 16 by 20 in Trex Lineage Hatteras, a warm brown board, and ran black aluminum railing around the full perimeter.
The staircase turns at a landing partway down, then runs the rest of the way to the patio. The turn keeps the stairs tight to the house instead of cutting across the yard.
Built to open up the house.
Ben converted the old windows below into a sliding glass door, so the lower level opens straight out to the covered patio under the deck.
He wired electric on the deck and underneath it, so both levels have power for lights, a grill, or a TV without running a cord from inside.
