Project notes
What the archive shows.
Two-tone deck with a covered end.
Ben ran the deck in Trex Island Mist, a light gray board, and framed it with a charcoal picture-board border so the floor reads as one finished piece.
One end sits under a full roof with a stained tongue-and-groove ceiling, recessed lights, and a ceiling fan. The family gets shade and cover on one side and open sky on the other.
Rail, stairs, and lighting.
Trex Transcend railing runs the perimeter in white with round black aluminum balusters, mounted on top of the deck to keep the footprint clean.
A switchback staircase and landing lead down to the brick patio and hot tub below. Ben wired Trex riser lights into the steps, so the stairs stay lit after dark.
